​Sherry, a Purdue University graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, founded Big Afro Productions in 2023 to address the critical need for education in black history. As a nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to producing films that inspire African Americans to embrace and celebrate their rich heritage. Our mission is to empower and strengthen communities through education and cultural appreciation.
The mission of Big Afro Productions is to inspire and empower, through powerful films that exemplify the richness of Black history. We believe that our films have the power to educate and motivate individuals and organizations to work toward a more just and equitable world.
The vision of Big Afro Production is that after viewing our films, our younger population in particular will understand the importance of not only knowing their history but also recognizing the richness and allowing the films to motivate them to be proud of who they are and begin living in their greatness.
